Our Website, services or membership programs may host community spaces. In these spaces, and outside these spaces in situations where you may be representing the brand, or the community, this Code of Conduct applies.
Our communities are open spaces for members to support one another, and collaborate and network with each other in the interest of enhancing everyone’s overall life experience, including increasing our individual and collective odds of success in the various areas of our lives that are important to us.
Diversity, inclusion, and wide and varying viewpoints and experience is what we thrive on. We encourage participation from the most varied and diverse backgrounds possible and want to be very clear about our rules of engagement within the community.
Our goal is in establishing this code to maintain a safe, helpful and friendly community for everyone, regardless of experience, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, personal appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, age, religion, nationality, or other defining characteristic.
This code and related procedures also apply to unacceptable behavior occurring outside the scope of community activities, in all community venues— online and in-person— as well as in all one-on-one communications, and anywhere such behavior has the potential to adversely affect the safety and well-being of community members.
This code applies equally to founders, mentors and those seeking help and guidance.
This code isn’t exhaustive and everything is not covered within it. Use it as a set of guidelines on which you can govern your own behavior and conduct and/or evaluate the behavior of another when the behavior causes you to be deeply uncertain about the intentions behind it, or unsettled in a way that’s beyond the feeling of being unsettled from a disagreement or simply misunderstanding some concept or idea.

Participation & Posting Policies
Our goal is to help you enhance your life experience. As creatives, leaders, entrepreneurs, etc. we sign on to make a difference in the world by delivering value in ways that honor our purpose. It’s natural that delivering value within our own community and among ourselves is a vital part of what we do. To further foster that environment, we’ve put in place the following policies:
Please use your real name (including your first and last name) as your community handle. Names, nicknames, vanity brands, etc. different than the name that you’ve registered with us when you signed up are not allowed. In instances where we’ve made an exception to this rule, please ensure that your handle is registered with us as yours and is properly noted on your account. Otherwise, you risk periodic removal from the community.
Please commit at least 30 minutes per week reviewing the discussions and conversation within the community.
Provide support in the form of insights, information or other resources, connections, or real-time conversations with at least one other community member per week.
Do not post (without a clear request or prior permission) any motivational quotes, blog post links, sales funnel links, self-promotion (including causes, fundraisers, and volunteer opportunities), event promotion, etc. This is a community, which is reserved for engagement, please retain all of your one-to-many, broadcast style communications for the platforms that are designed for that, i.e. your Google+ profile, Facebook profile, Twitter feed, Instagram, email list, etc. This includes "follow me on XYZ platform" requests. That's considered self promo.
Instances where the content types outlawed above are appropriate, relevant and useful include:
Posting these content types in the predesignated spaces, such as the "Studio Room" within the House of Shanel.
Posting a motivational quote, blog post link, or other resource as a relevant reply to someone's question or request for support. In this instance, please do not just share the link or content, please provide some context as to why you’ve shared it.
Inviting someone who you’ve supported, collaborated with, and/or had a one-to-one conversation with to connect with you outside of community facilities to further and forward that support or collaboration.
In place of the outlawed content types, seek to post inspiring experiences of your own, your own results, breakthroughs, triumphs, victories and successes.
